Patricia Farrar-Rivas is a City of Sonoma, Councilwoman, and a Sonoma Clean Power Authority Board Member. She was a Founding Partner, CEO, and a Senior Wealth Manager at Veris Wealth Partners LLC, a national Impact Investing Wealth Management firm founded in 2007. She was also a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®). She has provided wealth management and impact investing advice to families, families office and family foundations since 1992. She retired from Veris Wealth Partners in March of 2022, and remains a non-practicing partner. Prior to Veris, Patricia led the effort by Silicon Valley-based public accounting firm, Frank, Rimerman + Co. to launch its new investment advisory subsidiary, Frank, Rimerman Advisors. She also co-founded the New York office of Progressive Asset Management in 1994. She is an early pioneer in the Sustainable and Responsible Investing Industry. Her passion for impact investing is rooted in transitioning capital flows to companies supporting climate solutions, and social and environmental justice. Patricia is currently a Sonoma Ecology Center Board Member, a Sonoma Clean Energy Authority Board Member, and Board Chair of 18 Reasons, a community cooking school. She is a previous Board Member of As You Sow, a non-profit supporting environmental shareholder engagement and litigation. She was Member of the first standards council for the Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB) from 2011-2014.
